Andrey Kolbasin

Andrey is an award-winning tattoo artist with over two decades of experience, beginning his journey at the remarkable age of 12. Originally from a small village near St. Petersburg, Russia, he dedicated himself to mastering the art of tattooing through continuous study, traveling across Russia and eventually around the world to refine his craft. Working in his own distinctive style, Andrey combines realism with illustration, creating striking compositions often featuring portraits and female figures with prison-inspired tattoo motifs, layered with symbolism and social commentary. In 2008, he opened his first tattoo studio, followed by his own painting and tattoo school in 2016, where he mentored numerous successful artists. Throughout his career, Andrey has earned multiple international awards and has been invited to serve as a judge at tattoo conventions around the world. Now based in Los Angeles, California, he continues to push creative boundaries while working alongside a talented team of artists at Monna Lissa Tattoo Studio.
